About

PocketLap started as a group chat where four friends kept swapping screenshots of whatever game currently owned their commute. At some point we realised we were writing mini-reviews to each other anyway, so we might as well put them somewhere public. That's the whole origin story, no venture capital involved.,We focus on games you can actually hold in one hand: racers, arcade time-killers, casual stuff, the occasional deeper RPG or strategy title. Everything gets installed on real phones, played for hours, and only then written up. If a game annoyed us after twenty minutes, we say so.,How we pick titles is simple. Sometimes readers point us at something, sometimes a game climbs the charts and we get curious, sometimes one of us just falls into a genre for a month. We don't accept payment to feature a game, and we don't rank by publisher size.,The site is small on purpose. We'd rather post one honest write-up a week than churn out ten recycled lists. If that sounds like your kind of place, stick around.
